Why would a report say "undefined duration" or "undefined dose"?

Modified on Thu, Feb 29 at 12:05 AM

Sometimes, a OneChoice report will not specify a dosage or duration. This is because there is limited data suggesting the appropriate dosage or duration for that particular drug in that specific indication. The drug may still have activity against the microbes of interest, however.

Examples of this include Fosfomycin treatment for complicated UTIs (use in male patients). In this situation, there is conflicting data on how long to treat and what dose to use; therefore, no formal recommendation by Arkstone will be made.
