OneChoice works with the information the laboratory sends to Arkstone. If something was not included, that does not necessarily mean it is not present—it simply means OneChoice could not factor it into the recommendation.
If resistance-gene results were not sent
OneChoice cannot account for resistance genes it did not receive. This is different from a result showing that resistance genes were tested and not detected. The complete laboratory report and any available susceptibility results can help clarify what testing was performed.
If allergy information was not sent
OneChoice cannot screen the recommendation against allergies it does not know about. Before prescribing, confirm the patient's current allergy history and make any needed changes to the regimen.
If a diagnosis code was not sent

If the specimen source was not sent
The site of infection is important when choosing an antimicrobial and interpreting which organisms may be clinically relevant. Without a usable specimen source, Arkstone may not be able to generate a OneChoice recommendation.
